What's On

The Canterbury Singers, directed by David Newsholme, present Johann Sebastian Bach’s famous Christmas Oratorio.

The concert will be performed in the majestic and historic surroundings of The Parish Church of St Mary of Charity, in Faversham.

The choir will be joined in performing parts I, II, III and VI of this enduring masterpiece by prominent local instrumental ensemble, the Canterbury Festival Orchestra. The stellar line-up of soloists includes Penelope Inscoe (soprano), Paul Young (tenor) and George Coltart (bass).

Audience members will be able to enjoy a glass of wine at the interval, included in the price of the ticket.

Founded in 1953 under the patronage of internationally esteemed composer Edmund Rubbra, the Canterbury Singers are established as one of the leading chamber choirs in East Kent. They perform regularly at Canterbury Cathedral and attract large audiences at a variety of venues in the wider Canterbury area.
